Harvey (1944) a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Mary Chase. It tells the gentle, whimsical story of Elwood P. Dowd, a kind and amiable man who goes through life accompanied by his best friend — a 6-foot-3½-inch tall invisible white rabbit named Harvey.
The play celebrates warmth, imagination, and the idea that perhaps the “eccentric” ones see the world more clearly than the rest of us.
