In the final scene of Ibsen’s groundbreaking masterwork, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children and begin a life on her own. This climactic event – when Nora slams the door on everything in her life – instantly propelled world drama into the modern age.
After 15 years away, Nora Helmer has returned home. And now that she’s back, the heroine of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House is taking no prisoners. This award-winning theatrical sequel crackles with razor-sharp humor that speaks directly to today’s audiences, giving new voice to its predecessor’s themes of marriage, fidelity and personal independence.
“A Doll’s House, Part 2 delivers explosive laughs while posing thoughtful questions about marriage, gender inequality and human rights”
